YOUR ITINERARY
Day 1 - Glencoe
Early-ish start from our departure point heading north west of Stirling through the beautiful Trossachs, reaching the stunning Glencoe mountains before lunch. Moving further north and on to Fort William for a spot of lunch and some grocery shopping to stock up two nights at accommodation. Make sure you have good walking shoes because we like to get you off the bus as much as possible for stunning walks in the Scottish countryside.
During the afternoon we will visit the Glenfinnan Viaduct (better known to many as the Harry Potter bridge), Eilean Donan Castle - possibly one of the most iconic Scottish castles set on a loch in majestic scenery where three great sea lochs meet. Also used on the set of 'Highlander'. Next stop - check in at the hostel in Stromeferry. |
Day 2 - Travel to Skye
Over the sea to Skye taking in the beautiful coastal village of Portree, The Old Man of Storr - a magnificent pinnacle of rock 48m high standing below 182m cliffs, Kilt rock, The Quaraing - mind bending amazing scenery and Faerie Glen - a truly magical gem used in the filming of Stardust. No tours of the Isle of Skye would be complete without a visit to the world famous Fairy Pools
|
Day 3 - Loch Ness
We're off to Loch Ness with your chance to spot the Loch Ness Monster and pick up some Nessie souvenirs. Lunch will be at the beautiful little town of Fort Augustus where, if you're brave enough, you can take a dip in Loch Ness and swim with the monster. Heading South we will be travelling through the Cairngorm mountains on some of Scotland's highest roads. On this leg of the journey, we will have time to get off the bus and enjoy exploring some of the fantastic Scottish Highland wilderness. We will be arriving back home in the early evening.
